Charlotte Elizabeth Johnson, affectionately called "Tita" was born on December 10, 1923, to Richard Delgado and Martha Nee Shand Johnson in Mount Vernon, St. Thomas, Jamaica. She was the 4th of 8 children. Charlotte received her early education from public schools in Mt. Vernon.
As a little girl she was always fond of dress making; after leaving school she became a dressmaker and milliner. She worked in this profession for many years.
When her sisters Esther and Virginia were in Britain, she began caring for their children, her nieces Mirry, Thelma and Yvonne. When the 2 younger children left for England, she migrated to Canada.
As a teenager, Charlotte accepted Jesus as her personal Savior and became very active in the church. She was someone who loved the Lord, a very determined person; she always encouraged the love of the Lord in young people. She loved young people and never forgot a birthday.
It is appropriate that the Lord called her home on Valentines Day, February 14, 2014. She is now in the presence of the greatest love of her life - the Lord Jesus Christ; to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. She is survived by 1 brother, Sydney; 1 sister, Virginia; sister-in-law Hazel and countless nieces, nephews, grand and great grand nieces and nephews.
