She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and extended family members who will cherish her memory and the many stories she shared throughout her life.
A proud graduate of the University of Florida in Gainesville, Charlotte devoted her professional life to education. She began teaching at Amelia Earhart Elementary School around 1967, where she spent many years guiding and encouraging young students before retiring. Generations of children benefited from her patience, dedication, and belief in the value of learning. She took great pride in watching former students pursue their dreams, with some going on to successful careers in broadcasting, music, entertainment, and other professions.
Family was at the center of Charlotte's life. She especially loved taking her sister Anna's children on adventures, creating memories that would be shared and retold for decades. She was known for her determination, independence, and stubborn streak, qualities that became part of her family legend.
One favorite memory shared by her nieces and nephews was that Charlotte's treasured RC Colas were strictly off-limits until they reached the age of thirteen, a rule she enforced with unwavering consistency and a twinkle in her eye.
Charlotte's vibrant personality was reflected in the orange 1969 Camaro she proudly drove for many years, making her a familiar and memorable sight around North Miami Beach.
Those who knew Charlotte remember a woman of strong convictions, sharp wit, quiet strength, and unwavering loyalty to the people she loved. Whether as a teacher, sister, aunt, or friend, she touched countless lives and leaves behind a legacy of learning, laughter, independence, and love.
