Cheryl A. Wickham, 65, of Coconut Creek, FL, passed away January 22, 2014. Cheryl was born in Washington D.C. and moved to South Florida at the age of 10. She quickly settled in to life in South Florida and became an avid fan of the Florida Gators and Miami Dolphins, never missing a game. On March 16, 1974, she married John Wickham, her husband of 40 years. Together they owned and operated Johnny's Moving and Storage in Hollywood, FL, until 2005. Johnny's Moving was a very successful agent of United Van Lines. Cheryl was also an active real estate agent for Century 21 and Coldwell Banker.
Cheryl was a selfless, loving person who liked a good party. Cheryl also enjoyed spending time with her family. She always opened her heart and her home to others. This led to her becoming a second mom to many "adopted children". She also kept many toy and pet stores in business by spoiling her grandchildren and animals. Cheryl battled cancer for several years and demonstrated immeasurable strength as she faced the disease. She is very much loved and deeply missed.
Cheryl is survived by her husband, John P. Wickham, her children; Jonathan S. Wickham, Dana M. Grant and Dawn R. Weber, her brother Richard Gray, and her four grandchildren; Colton Grant, Asher Grant, Zachary Weber and Spencer Weber. She was preceded in death by her parents; Rita and Edward Gray, and her sister, Nancy Fackler.
The family is requesting donations in lieu of flowers be made to either the American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
