Born in Baltimore, Maryland on July 5, 1977, son of John Carter and Patricia Dale (Roberts) Cannella. Raised in Severna Park (Annapolis), Maryland. Chris graduated from St. Mary's Annapolis High School in 1995. He was a varsity player on both the soccer and lacrosse teams at St. Mary's. Chris furthered his education at Towson University, receiving his B.A. degree and Master's Degree in Library Science from Florida State University. He was a former librarian for Johnson and Whales College and at the time of his death was a Hospitality Research Librarian at Florida International University.
Survived by his wife, Mariana Medina-Cannella, his 8 year old daughter, Zoe Isabella Cannella, parents, John C. "Jack" and Dale Cannella, sister, Dana Cannella, nephew, Josh Cannella and niece Taylor Cannella, grandmother, Ruth Ann Cannella and several aunts and uncles.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, November 18th at 10:30 A.M. at S. Issac Jogues Catholic Church, 9215 Old Harford Road, Parkville, Maryland. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Burial at Louden Park Cemetery will be private.
Burial will be in the family plot in Maryland.
