

Chuck Taylor, a devoted family man and respected community figure, passed away at the age of 74 in Hollywood, Florida, on March 8, 2024. Born on January 15, 1950, in York, South Carolina, Chuck built a life characterized by hard work, perseverance, and service to others.
Embarking on a remarkable career at Thermo King in 1968, Chuck began as a humble parts employee, displaying a strong work ethic and unyielding dedication that would eventually see him ascend to the position of general manager. His tenure at Thermo King spanned an impressive 56 years, during which time he earned the admiration and respect of his colleagues.
Chuck's intrinsic kindness, boundless generosity, and consistent thoughtfulness left an indelible mark on all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His leisure time was often spent pursuing his avid love for fishing, the excitement of racing, and the simple joys of settling down to a western or sci-fi movie.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 55 years, Thereasa Taylor, his son Chuck and daughter-in-law Cherie Taylor, his daughter-in-law Ivete Taylor, widow of his late son Christopher, and his adored grandchildren Clayton, Grace, and Shane.
Friends and family are invited to gather for visitation on Saturday, March 16, 2024, from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 7:00 P.M. at the Fred Hunter Funeral Home, located at 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood. This gathering will serve as a time to honor Chuck's legacy and share in the collective remembrance of a life well-lived.
