

Clelia was born in Naples, Italy. She married Terry M Bruton in 1946 after World War II in Naples. She became one of many war brides who made her way back to the United States with her new husband. She was a devoted wife to Terry in a marriage that lasted over 75 years until Terry’s passing. Family life was very important to her. She worked as a seamstress, loved homemaking, and was an excellent cook. She was a founding member of Resurrection Catholic Church in Dania Beach and an active parishioner and volunteer. Her faith was important to her all the way to the end.
Clelia is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and her siblings. Clelia is survived by her children: Terry A Bruton (Tammy), Giovanna Alessi-St Amant (Dennis) and Adriana Reasner (Bill). Her grandchildren: Danny Bruton, David Bruton, Jennifer LeWinter, Hollie Covell, Bill Reasner, Rebecca Tate, Carla Bevers and Giovanna Alessi-Suarez. Numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 5-8 PM, Monday, August 12 at Fred Hunter Funeral Home in Davie.
Funeral services will be held at 10 AM, Tuesday, August 13 at St Malachy Catholic Church in Tamarac. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Fort Lauderdale. Arrangements are by Fred Hunter Funeral Home.
The Bruton family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to all family members and friends who enriched and gave joy to Clelia’s life. A special thank you to her caregivers and Vitas (Hospice) who helped Clelia with special and loving care.
