Dearest Danny, even though we lost contact over the past several years I thought of you often. You were like a surrogate mother to me when i was first spreading my wings and learning to fly. My flight brought me to south florida and you and Barry opened your home to me and took care of me, and all the "baggage" I brought with me. I will be forever grateful to you for that. Barry, my heart breaks for you. I know how much this loss hurts me, I cannot even begin to fathom the depths of your loss. I know Danny will be watching over us all, making up the guest beds an cooking up something good for us when its our time to see him again. Until then he will be dearly missed with the peace of knowing he is with the rest of the angels we have been blessed to know here on earth.

Thank you Danny & Barry for the wonderful meals you cooked, to which I was graciously invited. Thank you Danny for sleeping on the couch, & giving me your room to sleep in, when I visited in January of 1996. You were a kind hearted soft spoken gentleman. Rest in peace & be blessed. Barry, I can only imagine the depth of your loss.

I met Danny in 1980 when we both worked at MacGillivray's Pharmacy in Baltimore.Generally, I move slowly when getting to know someone, but with Danny everything felt so natural. We quickly became good friends.Boy, could he make me laugh! .He was one of the funniest people I ever met and so quick-witted.  At my wedding in 1981 he was a calming influence on me .My cake was not what I thought I ordered and it was very boring, but Barry came to the rescue and decorated it with stargazer lilies and it was gorgeous. The other flowers were lovely as well. My fan with red roses glued to it was a knockout. My Mom loved her wrist corsage and she immediately loved Danny and Barry. I will be forever grateful.to both of them for their help on that day.  When my Mom died in 1984 I was devastated. Danny immediately gave me support and accompanied me to the funeral home.He kept me centered and gave me strength. Dan made the best ground beef egg rolls and applesauce. He gave me his recipe for hot milk cake which is delicious. He was a wonderful cook! When he had the throat operation in Baltimore, he was strong. He knew he was not done with this world. He fought his way back from that operation which required tremendous strength..  When Danny and Barry first moved to Florida I was surprised but wished them happiness wherever they could find it. When they returned to Baltimore, I was happy as I was still living there at the time. But their time in Baltimore was short-lived and they left again for Florida. I hadn't seen Danny since '98 or '99. But we connected our spirits via the telephone, emails and texting quite frequently. We had a friendship that I will miss deeply.The flowers I sent were all yellow-yellow roses, yellow glads, yellow daisies and the arrangement was called Sunny Memories. I have Sunny Memories of you, Dan. He never spoke unkindly of anyone or gossiped. He was a caring soul. And he loved Barry so much! I will think of you often,my friend and miss you deeply.But, I will always smile when I remember that day "We have chickens" became our mantra. Love you forever

I had the pleasure of meeting Danny and working with him for several years. Every morning he had a warm smile and always made me laugh. He would walk past and say I love you for no reason other than to make me smile. Danny loved to talk about his dogs. To Barry for whom I've never met, Danny talked about you also, on several occasions he put his fist to his chest and told me how you were his heart! Danny is missed and will always be remembered!

Danny, it's hard to believe we met in a doctor's office! But then that's the type of person you were. Kind, gentle, caring. Easy to talk to, always interested in what was happening in someone else's life. I will miss our email and snail mail exchanges. Please watch over all of us. Rest in peace, dear friend.

Oh Danny...you will be missed. I have known you since I was a teenager. I didn't see you often but you always made me feel special when we saw each other. I will always remember your breaded cube steaks and think of you when I make them. RIP Danny. I love you, Donna.

Danny was such a kind and caring soul. The thing I remember most of all is all the laughter that surrounded us during visits from Barry and Danny. It was always a joyous occasion when they came to New York. Danny - may you rest in peace. Barry - may you find comfort with those around you and joy in the memories of your time together. Barry, my thoughts are with you, wishing I could give you a great big hug. I will be thinking of you tonight when you celebrate Danny's life. You two are the best Uncle's once could ask for. I met Danny in 1986 when I started working at B.T. Smith Medical, he was my boss. We became instant friends and have been friends ever since. Danny has always been there for me through thick n thin, good times n bad. You couldn't ask for a better friend than Danny! He always put others first, would do anything for you...even give you the shirt off his back. He had a beautiful soul, smile and spirit. I spent a lot of time with Danny & Barry at their home in Baltimore and visited as often as I could when they moved to Florida. We always had a good time together no matter where we were or what we were doing. I will never forget all the good times in "The Red Rollerskate" and "Nancy", two of the cars Danny had in Baltimore.I loved Danny for everything he was and how he always made me feel. I will miss you Danny with all of my being and will forever cherish our friendship in my heart.Rest In Peace my friend! May you watch down on us until we meet with you again in Heaven! God Bless You and Keep you in His Arms.Barry....I wish you peace and healing as you mourn the loss of your partner. Please know that I will always be here for you.

I met Danny when I first moved to Baltimore in 1992 and got a job at Rombro Health Services and we've been friends ever since. When I needed a place to stay, he rented his second floor to me. It was wonderful to live so close to my friend and we became such good friends too. It was a sad day when he and Barry moved to Florida because I knew that I'd rarely get a chance to see him. We commenced at phone friendship and spoke regularly. I loved Danny for his compassion, his wisdom and his friendship. I miss him already and will always remember him for his kindness to me when I was a stranger in town. May you find everything you're looking for on the other side Danny and God bless you.

I meet Danny many years ago and loved him dearly, he was the kindest person and had the best sense of humor,could always make me laugh. I will also always remember Danny's cooking,especially his chocolate pie. I will never forget our freiendship. God bless you Danny. Barry, always know I am here for you.

Danny how we are going to miss you! You were always a phone call away for the last 30+ years with a laugh or looking for a receipe. Your concern, prayers and kind words with our childrens health problems will never be forgotten. Your request for New Hope Mills pancake mix and Grandma Browns Baked Beans whenever we were coming to visit. We love you and Barry and you will remain in our hearts forever.
