Our father, also known as Pops, Dad, Pere Da, Grandpapa and Grampy, was a special one of a kind man. One who came from humble beginnings. With no formal education, he came to the US to ready to work. He had a full time job and would often work several part time jobs. With his wife, they purchased their first house in Spring Valley, NY. That’s where he developed his love of flowers and landscaping. He created colorful palettes. People would stop in front of the house and marvel at the beauty of it all. There was no project too big or too small for him. Whether it was adding a kitchen or building a bathroom, he did it. In addition to flowers, his passions included music, especially Haitian music, WWE wrestling and talking Haitian politics. He loved connecting with his family and would often be seen with his trusty address book calling them every day. He was a faithful caregiver to our mother. Thank you for showing us how to be hardworking and decent people.
