Daniel was born in Flushing, New York on January 20, 1949, the son of Joseph Albert Laratro and Marnie Saidowski. He grew up in Little Neck, New York, and moved to Lloyd Harbor with his family. He relocated to South Florida and established himself in the waste management business where he owned and operated two private sanitation companies for over 30 years. He married the love of his life, Deidre Flori, and they remained happily married for 49 years. They had two children, Joey and Marnie, who also reside in Hallandale Beach with their families. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and a true patriarch to his family.
Daniel is survived by his wife, Deidre, his two children, Joe Laratro (Lena) and Marnie Cavalcante (Marcos), and his five loving grandchildren, Joseph Daniel, Giovanni, Olivia, Luca, and Capri.
