I'm so grateful to have been blessed to know you. I remember when Matt and I first moved in with you and Debbie. I was 4 months pregnant with Audrey and I missed my family so bad. But you made me feel so loved and welcomed into your home. You always made sure I had what I needed and that I was comfortable. I could never imagine then the close bond I would have created with you through out the years. I always knew I could call you anytime when I needed to hear that amazing voice of your to tell me everything was going to be alright. I love you Dan and will always hold you near and dear to my heart. You fought a long hard battle and now it's time for you to rest. Just know you were loved and will be missed by so many including Audrey and I.

Dan, although we never met I felt as though I was part of your journey. You were a fighter and you and Debbie gave me strength when i needed it most. You will not be forgotten. To your amazing wife and family i send many many prayers and lots of love and I will be thinking of you all. May you fly high Dan and no longer have to suffer that awful beast. God bless you all

Although I never got to meet you I heard so much wonderful stuff about you. You are an amazing man & you fought so hard. Watch over your family & make sure you party hard in heaven with all your loved ones and Mark .

My deepest condolences to all of Danny's family and his children, my nephews. Dan was a wonderful, funny, kind and loving brother in law. He was greatly loved and will be missed the same as well. God bless and comfort all of you in this time of loss. May Danny rest in peace with our Lord.

Dan, you were such a fighter, even though you could be so stubborn. I never had any doubt of the love that you had for Daniel and I. I will always remember the times you made it to the hospital to feed and hold little Daniel when I couldn't. Also the time he puked in your pocket. Haha. I will always remember how good you used to cook and how much I've missed it. The beautiful turkey you would make on Thanksgiving. And many more. These are the memories I will cherish. You fought so hard for so long and now you rest. We will miss you. Debbie, my prayers and love are with you as well as the rest of the family.

I have been blessed by you both. Such incredible fighters and lovers of life and God. So much of your own struggles were going on when you reached out to Paul and me in ours. You both touched our hearts and still do. I’ll never forget your unselfishness to lift us up in our battle with EC. You will miss him like your own heart but you have another in me who holds you close to her own as we move forward in loving memory of these beloved husbands. Dan will be missed but you will always have him with you.

So sad to lose yet another warrior to this horrible disease :(
Dan fought long and hard, time to rest.

Out of the misfortune of esophageal cancer striking our families, you and Dan became our dear friends and fellow EC warriors. Both of you were an inspiration in your devotion to each other and your strength in fighting this awful cancer. Debbie, you and Dan will remain in our hearts and in our prayers. It is clear how much you loved Dan, and vice versa. May your memories, and your friends & family, hold you tight and help you cope during this difficult time. Love you.

I know you only from an EC group but you and Debbie have been on my heart through your whole journey Dan. You were a true warrior to the end. Prayers will continue for your dear wife and family. 

Dan, you fought long, you fought strong, you fought with all you had and that fight will never be forgotten, nor you. You're probably smiling, while looking down at everyone who loved you and I'm confident that you're putting your hard earned wings to the test to comfort all who are lost without you. I smile at the thought of that. I'll continue to pray for your beautiful wife, Debbie and the beautiful family you have, as they continue this journey, the remembrance and the praise of your life.
