David A. Cross

David Allen Cross, better known as Dave, of Davie, Florida, passed away on January 19th after a courageous battle with cancer.  Dave was born on June 24, 1953 in Townsend, MA and raised in Groton and Billerica, MA. He met his wife Linda while working together at the MITRE Corporation in MA. Shortly after starting their family in Billerica, they moved to Cooper City, FL. He spent most of his career at Lennox Industries, having had a lifelong career in something he was truly passionate about.

Dave had a love for cars, animals, visiting the Florida Keys, and spending quality time with his beloved family. He was the most incredible Husband, Dad, and Papa to his grandkids.

Dave is survived by his adored wife, Linda Cross, his son Jon Cross and daughter-in-law, Katie Cross, his daughter Katie Barnes and son-in-law, Lee Barnes, his daughter Jennifer Wilson and sister Sharon Amidon. His legacy continues to live on through his precious grandkids, Emma, Addie, and Olivia Barnes, and Maggie and Tony Cross. He is pre-deceased by his parents and beloved sisters, Renee Silva and Debi Weber. 

There will be a mass in Dave’s honor held at Saint David Catholic Church, 3900 South University Dr. Davie, FL 33328 on Friday, January 28th at 10:00am. A celebration of life reception will immediately follow. Additional reception details to be announced.
