Karen Gwendale Wilson known as “Aunt Gwen” to her Godchildren, 74, died peacefully at her home in Plantation, Florida, on August 25, 2022. She is survived by her sister, Sharon J. Staude (husband Jim Appenzeller) of Aurora, Colorado and her cousin, Carnell Cordero (husband Eugenio Cordero) of Davie, Florida. She shared her home with her late husband, David L. Wilson knows as “Uncle Dave” to his godchildren, until he died peacefully on May 25, 2016. He is presently survived by his cousin, Randy Hamm (wife Tina Hamm). They are both survived by their 9 godchildren and their families as well as numerous close and dear friends. Gwen and Dave also had family throughout different parts of the US as well as overseas. Additionally, they are both survived by their beloved Pomeranian “Ginger” known as “Bitty Chicken” to all that knew and loved them.
A memorial service honoring both Gwen and Dave will be held at the Fred Hunter Funeral Home in Davie, Florida on Friday September 9, 2022 from 6pm to 8pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the national Breast Cancer Foundation are appreciated.
