Deida, I am always thinking about you in sorrow because I miss you. Then I smile because I remember the good times we shared together and that your spirit is in heaven with your loved ones. RIP

This loss is bigger than any one of our problems or struggles. It’s a day we never thought we would face, at least not this soon. Today, we have all lost something so great. Someone that has taken a massive space in our hearts.
No matter where she was, or what she was going through, she dropped everything, at any given time, to come help every single one of us sitting in this room today, time and time again for our entire lives. 
There is no limit to what she would give or sacrifice for any one of us.
Everyone in this room shares something that will be treasured for all eternity. 
Her dedicated love and support. No matter how many times we get on each others nerves. She was always there. At arms reach. She made sure of it.
My beautiful godmother, was not perfect, as none of us are, but she always lead with her heart, and with the purest intentions. 
I’m not ready to say goodbye, but it gives me peace to know that she’s with papi, and the rest of our beloved family who are welcoming her to her own version of paradise, with open arms. Your physical body may not be present with us, but we know for sure you’re watching over all of us. 


She saved me so many times. Without her I would know undying strength and loyalty. She taught me so many lessons that I will hold close to my chest for all of eternity. 
I will never ever let go of the space she holds in my life. Not ever. 
I love you.

You will be highly miss. I always told you that you looked like Betty Boo,  you were a beautiful person inside and out.

My dear friend, comadre but overall family how this really hurts. You were an amazing person. I am going to miss your stories, advice, motivation, praise and unconditional love. You were such a great  wife, mom, sister and friend. You did not like to “bother anyone” like you used to say but you would be there for others with no hesitation. Knowing you for 47 years was a privilege, talking to you was great and having you in my life is unforgettable. Thank you for the love, support and being a part of my life.
