Dena was born in New York to Danny "Pop" and Claudie "Ahmar" Guzzo on August 13, 1963. Dena went to school at South Broward Highschool. Dena gave many years in the 80's to BSO as an undercover, then spent her remaining years since 2008 as a CSA handling Crime Scene and Traffic. Smart and witty and very good at what she does, Dena was the go to for a lot in her career. She knew the ins and outs and always got the job done. Never the less she always had the right answers along with a solution, especially in everyday life. Dena was a loving mother and friend and a role model to many. She was always there to listen and lend a helping hand. Her heart was bigger than her body. The advice she gave was like no other and she cared about others well-being. She will be greatly missed.
Dena is preceded in death by both her parents as well as her son Baby Mario Costantini and her ex husband Mario Costantini.
Dena is survived by Santina Rose Costantini and Dena's fury 4 legged beloved grand-daughter Chanel. Her sister MaryAnne Guzzo and her brother Aly Guzzo and his wife Diane Guzzo. Her nephews Ricky Walker and Joshua Murray and their wives Annalisa Walker and Nicole Murray. Her great nieces Giuliana Walker and Rebecca Costa and her great nephews Jackson and Maddox Murray.
The family of Dena Guzzo Costantini would like to extend a big thank you to the Hallandale Police Department for the love and support not only in this time but for the years Dena spent with them. Dena's department went above and beyond for us not only has her squad but as her family. Also to Aventura Hospital for the care and support they gave Dena in her final moments. To all our family and friends that lent a hand and support we thank you as well.
In the words of Dena "The World is so better with you in it"
