Diane grew up in Fairview Park, Ohio and was raised by her father Anton and mother Lois Tabar. She was the oldest of all her amazing siblings; Jeff, Steve, and Stephanie the baby. Diane lovingly and strongly helped raise care for her brothers and sister through their childhood. Their bond and love for one another is truly a testament to Diane’s big heart. She was also her mother, Lois’s, rock, listening ear, and devoted friend through their time together and even more so in the last several years.
Diane graduated from Fairview Park High School in 1969. She was a talented artist with an incredible eye, and was a hard-hitting softball player on the diamond. Immediately after graduation to her family’s dismay she moved to Miami Beach, Florida at the age of 18. Her siblings missed her dearly, but she spoke to them daily and would visit with them as much as possible.
Diane met her future husband in, Elliot Wolf, in 1976 at their apartment complex in North Miami Beach. They later married on January 12th, 1980 in a small courthouse ceremony with her sister Stephanie as her maid of honor. Diane and Elliot later moved to Coral Springs Florida to raise their two children, and eventually residing in Parkland after the kids graduated from college. Diane and Elliot were married for 37 years.
She was the proud mother to Brittany Wolf Stiles (January 23, 1981), and Ryan Alexander Wolf (January 29, 1984). Her kids were her number one priority in life, and she always made sure they knew that. They were fortunate enough to have her at home as a “stay at home mom.” Even though they rarely stayed home. She was constantly shuttling Britt and Ry all over town for their sports and modeling jobs. She was their number one fan from day one! She made them laugh, wiped tears, fixed boo boos, taught them to love hard, to count on each other, to be independent, strong, courageous, bold, to be empathetic, love animals, and to never give up. She broke the mold when it came to being a mom. She was what every mother should strive to be.
She became a grandparent on May 14th, 2015 to Brittany and Ken’s son, Hudson, and later came Easton on December 25th, 2016. They were her pride and joy. Even when Easton would call her “squishy.” They always kept her on her toes, laughing, and constantly entertained. Her countless hours spent babysitting were loved and always appreciated. She was always ready to go on any trip to Legoland, the Keys, or any other adventure with her boys. She’d toss them in the pool, play Uno, play soccer, color or paint, watch YouTube videos, basically whatever they wanted she did! She was always there cheering for them on the sidelines at flag football, soccer, and baseball. She was so proud to be their Amma, and loved them with all her heart.
She was the friend that could make you laugh when you were having a bad day, slap you with her sarcasm, and treat you like you were family. She loved her friends dearly, and treasured any time she got to visit with them or speak to them on the phone. If you were lucky enough to be in her circle you would never want out. From childhood friends, to neighbors, to the tennis courts, and her animal rescue friends; she will undoubtedly be missed by all that adored her.
Besides loving her family and friends she loved her fur babies that always filled her home. There were dogs, cats, birds, tortoises, fish, hamsters, you name it she had it and she loved and cared for them. Her and Britt always shared their love for horses too. She found solace and peace in volunteering for the Doberman Rescue League. Her heart was and will always be made of pure gold.
She was so many things to so many people. Everyone who knew her loved her, and she will be forever missed and cherished. She will continue to watch over us all, and will giggle from up above as she would’ve by our sides. She will continue to live on through all of us. So please take her with you.
