Don as he was affectionately called was born in Brackettville Texas, on October 14, 1929, to parents of Rosco and Melinda (Payne) Fletcher. Raised and educated, Donald graduated from Carter High School. At the age of 20, he moved to Manhattan, New York and later to Queens. Mr. Fletcher was a retired Concierge at the White Stone Residences in the Bronx. Following his retirement he moved to Pembroke Pines, Florida.
Survived by his beloved wife, Rose, three daughters, Joan , Sherine, and Cecile, seven grandchildren, Marshanette, Robert, Richa, Roshawn, Rochelle, Chrystal and Shynelle, two great grandchildren, Addison and Robert, Jr and Godson Richard.
Visitation on Friday, February 13th from 6:00 ~ 8:00 P.M. at Fred Hunters Hollywood Memorial Home, 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood. Funeral on Saturday at the funeral home at 11:00 A.M. Repass immediately following the funeral at Triumphant Church of Jesus Christ located at 7000 Pembroke Road. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
