

Donna Marie Price was born January 1, 1963 to Daphney Davies and Leslie Davies in Kingston, Jamaica. Donna's mother was a draftswoman and her father was a salesman. Donna had a beautiful childhood filled with dance lessons after school and summers spent with her friends and family. She excelled in her academics and competed at a high level in tennis while attending St. Andrew High School.
Donna then moved to Brooklyn, New York where she enjoyed every minute living in the city. She would often reminisce about her time in New York and loved travelling there throughout the years. Later, she relocated to South Florida to pursue her college education; she ultimately graduated from Miami Dade College as a credentialed optician. While in college, she married and gave birth to her first son, Shawn Soares. Years later, she remarried and gave birth to her second son, Jason Price.
She selflessly devoted her time to raising her children, while advancing in her career as an optician at For Eyes Optical. She was passionate about her work and enjoyed the comradery with her clients and colleagues.
Donna loved the art of travel, especially visiting Europe, the Caribbean and parts of the United States. Donna's interests included family gatherings, gardening, live music, dancing, exotic cuisine, tennis and interior design. We can't forget her love for 80's and 90's movies.
Donna Price leaves behind her two sons, Shawn Soares and Jason Price; her daughter-in-law Paola Soares; her sister Pamela Miller and her brother Phillip Miller.
Donna fought a great fight in her battle with cancer. Throughout her journey, she continuously exhibited resilience and grace, all while caring for her loved ones. She will always be remembered for her unwavering faith, commitment to family and kind spirit.
