Doris R. Evans

Doris Register Evans, 88, of Fort Lauderdale, FL; died unexpectedly at her home on Thursday, November 3, 2011. She was born in Rentz, Georgia, the daughter of G.L. Register and Mamie (Grinstead) Register. Survivors include her daughter, Dianne (Glenn) Garvin, two grandchildren, Jennifer (John) Torregrosa and Chris (Sonali) Garvin, five adoring great grandchildren, Hutchens and Libby Grace Torregrosa, Arianna, Tatiana and Christian Garvin. She was loved by her family and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband J. Norman Evans in 1996. A funeral service will be held Sunday (TODAY) at 2:00 P.M. at St. Marks Episcopal Church, 1750 East Oakland Park Blvd. Fort Lauderdale. Friends are kindly invited to attend. Mrs. Evans will be laid to rest next to her husband at the Palmetto Cemetery in Brunswick, Georgia on Friday, November 25th at 11:30am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
