Two Hearts Two Souls One Love Dorothy A. Shay, was born in Morristown, NJ, and now living in Davie, FL, passed into her heavenly home at 12:40 a.m., Thursday, September 18, 2008, at home with her partner, Diane Klumb, at her side and in the care of Hospice. Dottie retired from 28 years of service at the Cooper City Police Department on February 4, 2000. Since then, she and Diane took their dream vacation to Alaska in 2001. Dottie and Diane and friends enjoyed going to WNBA basketball games or watching them on TV. She took great pride in solving the daily Miami Herald word jumble. She loved her favorite daily soap and played along with the Game Show Network. Spending time at home with Diane was her greatest joy in life, and she enjoyed her free time with her friends and visits from her family. She is preceded in death by her Mother, Katheryn M. Shay, Father, Walter Hartford Shay, Brother, Elmer John Morgan and Sister, Katheryn M. Shay. In addition to her partner, Dottie is survived by her Brother, Richard P. (Joann) Shay, her Brother, Walter H. (Mary) Shay, as well as many family members, former co-workers, and many loving friends whose lives she touched with her love and radiance. Those who knew Dottie and were loved by her are forever enriched. A memorial service will be planned for friends and family to come together and share their memories of Dottie on January 6, 2009, at a location yet to be determined when we would have celebrated Dottie's 69th birthday.
