Dorret Gray

Dorret H. Gray, 86 of North Lauderdale, Florida passed away on March 22, 2022, was born on February 25, 1936, in Skibo Portland, Jamaica West Indies.  She was the last child born to Estella and Simon Kelly.

Dorret migrated from Jamaica to Stamford, Connecticut in 1968 where she worked as a home helper until she became a nursing aid at Stanford Hospital.  Dorret worked at the hospital until she retired.  Dorret was a member of the Canaan Institutional Baptist Church, in Norwalk, CT.   After moving to Florida, Dorret was a member of the Pentecostal Tabernacle in Miami, FL, then later she became a member of Jesus Compassion Ministries under the leadership of Rev. Sadie Conner.  Dorret (Fats, Cynthe) is survived by two daughters and one son.  Maureen (Claude), Olga (Charles), Conrade (Denise).  She also leaves to mourn a sister Lacanda Smith in Chicago and a brother Simon Kelly in Norwalk, CT, six granddaughters, Nadine, Eve, Sheriel, Ashly, Sophia, and Madison also great-grandchild Khloe.  A host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
