Eduardo "Eddy" Indart died in Miami, FL on September 6, 2025. Eddy was born in Miami, FL on July 10, 1965. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Donna, and his two daughters, Alyssa and Gabriella. Eddy recently had the joy of becoming a grandfather for the very first time, with two beautiful granddaughters, born two months apart: Charlotte, born to Gabriella and Andrew, and Ellasandra, born to Alyssa and Edwin. Eddy is survived by his sister, Maria “Maite”, brother-in-law, Carlos, and his nephews and niece, Orin, Nicholas, Alexander, and Jacqueline, as well as his brother, Andre, stepbrother, Mike, and their families. Eddy is also survived by his aunt, Sonia. He leaves behind a family of wonderful friends. His family and friends brought him a lifetime of joy until the last moment of his life.
From his earliest days, Eddy had a passion for mechanics. As a little boy, you could find Eddy building bicycles and go-carts in the backyard. His sister recounts 8-year-old Eddy fixing the family toaster, with two less parts, yet working perfectly for 20 more years. Recycle may not have been a well-known term back in the early 1970's, but our family knew it, because Eddy found a new life for everything, often with extremely creative outcomes. It was no wonder that he became a mechanic shortly after high school, working for decades at Toyota. Being a master mechanic was a job he cherished and spoke often of his love for the work and the camaraderie with his work family.
Eddy also had a passion for the sea. He loved boating, snorkeling, scuba diving for lobster, fishing, and swimming. A happy day was a day spent in the ocean on his boat. He frequently took Alyssa out on the boat to what he called a "secret island" to eat Cheetos with salt water hands. Turned out to be a sandbar that had low tide. He enjoyed catching his own fish and lobster to eat over the weekend and occasionally believed it was worth the mercury poisoning because it was that fresh. He taught his daughters to swim by pushing them into the pool the Cuban style way when they were very young. They spent many happy days at the pools, especially Venetian pool, where they joked that the friendly spirits wished to hitch a ride to Hialeah because Eddy's car would break down each time.
Eddy had a great sense of humor and loved B flick films with terrible lighting and obvious jump scares. He used to say he didn’t discriminate between good, bad, and weird. He loved laughing at them with his daughters and would text them the movies he watched so they could talk about them together. When they were younger, they would frequent the matinee movies so they had the whole theatre to themselves to laugh, talk through movies and even snore through the occasional one.
Eddy will be missed deeply by anyone who ever had the good fortune to know him. His sweet and kind personality, his sense of humor, and positive outlook could brighten even the darkest days.
