Edward was born on July 26, 1922 in West Bay, Grand Cayman Islands. He was the son of Henry London Ebanks and Martha Clementine Ebanks.
Edward was a retired Merchant Marine of over 45 years. Retiring in 1993 as a member of the NMU/SIU.
Edward was preceded in death by his son Richard Stephen Ebanks. He is survived by his beloved wife Lambrini Ebanks of Hollywood, Florida; daughters Martha Jane Opitz and her husband Stephen Opitz, Mary Elizabeth Ebanks-Nunaihed and her husband George Nunaihed of Hollywood, Florida; son Edward Rothnie Ebanks Jr. and his wife Kerry Ebanks of Springtown, Texas. Edward is also survived by his Grandchildren, Caitlin, Richard and Christopher Opitz and Nicholas and Ethan Ebanks-Nunaihed.
The family will receive friends on Saturday April 23rd at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, located at 500 North Park Road in Hollywood, Florida for viewing at 10:30 and service at 12:30. Burial immediately following services at Fred Hunter Hollywood Funeral Home 6301 Taft Street Hollywood, Florida 33024.
