

Born in Detroit, Michigan on November 8, 1927. Son of Frederick Frasier Simmons and Florence (Christ) Simmons, raised and educated in Detroit Michigan and enlisted into the United States Army serving WWII. He worked for Chrysler Corporation for 15 years before his retirement.
Survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Frances " Fran" Simmons, eight children from previous marriage, daughters: Nancy (Pat)Webster, Linda (Richard deceased) Hebert, Gloria (Timothy) Taylor, Jackie (Marc) Robinson, Debbie (Glen) Justice, sons Edward (Angela deceased) Simmons II, Gary (Rose) Simmons. Also survived by his 24 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, godson Otto Warne Crump III and family (wife Madeline, son Otto, and daughter Evie), nephew Charles Edward Jabour, nieces Katie Lynn Jabour, Lynn Ann Crump, sisters in law Sandra Jordan, and Mary (Timothy) Skupinski.
Ed was preceded in death by his son Robert T Simmons, grandson George Oliver Webster, Lorraine Lowe (mother of his children) two brothers Frederick Simmons, William Simmons, and brother and sister in law Otto Warne Crump Jr and Patricia Ann Crump.
Visitation on Wednesday, February 10th from 6:00-8:00 pm at Fred Hunters Hollywood Memorial Garden Home, 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood . Funeral will be held Thursday February 11 at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
Entombment with Military Honors will follow at Hollywood Memorial Gardens Cemetery and Mausoleum.
