Edwin James Pole, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, followed his dear wife Ruth to his final rest with his Lord at home on January 26, 2015. Born August 26, 1914, to Francis Charles Pole and Margaret Westwood Pole (Brady) in Edmunton, Alberta, Canada, he was the eldest of five children. Brought to the US in early childhood, he lived in Montana, Washington, California, and New Jersey but primarily in Dade and Broward counties in Florida. He met and married his love, Ruth Pole (Boye), on December 15, 1943. After his service in WWII, he was honorably discharged achieving the rank of captain. He and Ruth then came back to Florida where he continued his trade as a master plasterer. He worked on hundreds of homes in the area including his home in Hollywood where he and Ruth raised their eight children.
Edwin is loved by his family; his children Victoria, Mark, Maureen, Bruce, Gregory, Christopher, Pamela, and Edwin; his eighteen grand-children; his eighteen-great-grand-children; and an extensive family of nieces, nephews, and their progeny.
He will be remembered and carried in their hearts until they join him and continue the tradition of family reunions he so enjoyed.
