Ms. Elizabeth R. Scirpo

Betty was born in Bedford, Indiana, the youngest of eight children, to parents, Michele and Maria Grazia Roselli on March 12, 1926. She attended school in Bedford, Indiana. Moving to Florida in the 50s, Betty met and married her husband, Paul J. Scirpo on May 25, 1957 in Hollywood, Florida. She worked as a school secretary at Dania Elementary for over 20 years. Betty then worked for the Broward County School Board and after retiring, for the second time, continued to stay active by volunteering at Memorial Hospital until her late 80s.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband Paul J. Scirpo, her parents, Michele and Maria Grazia Roselli, sisters Lucy Pace and Phyllis Brozicevic, brothers Fred, Joe, Vic, Sam and Mario Roselli.

Betty is survived by her daughter Kathryn and her husband Steven Sorrell, grandsons Trevor J. Sorrell and his wife Valerie, Paul J. Sorrell and his wife Fabia, and granddaughter Kendel and her husband Joshua along with her five great-grandchildren, Finn (10), Lincoln (5), Rosie (3), Oona (3) and Jasper(2).

The Visitation for friends and family is to be Monday, January 5th at 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood from 4:00-7:00. The funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, January 6th at Little Flower Catholic Church (1805 Pierce Street Hollywood) followed by the graveside service at Fred Hunter Memorial Garden East on Taft Street in Hollywood.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, the Hospice Foundation of America or the Juvenile Diabetes Association.
