Elmer Williams Jr., affectionately known as "Elmo," 60, of Hollywood, Florida, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at 3:50 p.m. at Memorial Regional Hospital South in Hollywood, Florida, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on October 2, 1966, in Los Angeles, California, Elmer began his education at Compton Avenue Elementary. His family later relocated to Florida, where he attended Larkdale Elementary in Fort Lauderdale, Lauderhill Middle School in Lauderhill, and South Broward High School in Hollywood. In his youth, Elmer had a passion for football and was a talented running back for the City of Lauderhill—a drive he carried into every part of his life.
Elmer lived life to the fullest and never backed down from a challenge. As someone who overcame every obstacle with strength and courage, he was funny, intelligent, and consistently positive; his personality and smile lit up every room he entered. He took great pride in his appearance and was known for his fresh outfits, jewelry, and sneakers. He loved old-school R&B and treasured family weekend trips to visit his late grandmother, Agnes Mays, along with his aunts, uncles, half-sisters, half-brothers, and cousins in Goulds, Florida. Above all, he was proud of his children and cherished watching them achieve their goals. Grounded in his faith, Elmer showed true courage and selflessness, always putting others first.
He was preceded in death by his father, Elmer Williams Sr.; his mother, Mattie Marino Williams; his niece, Tashonda Williams.
He leaves behind his greatest blessings and a lasting legacy of love in his two beloved children, his daughter, Jenece Williams, and his son, Trent Boudreau, who will forever hold a special place in his heart. His love for his children was a bond that time could never erase, and they will continue to carry his memory, his love, and a piece of him with them throughout their lives. Though his presence will be deeply missed, the love he shared with them will remain everlasting.
He is also lovingly remembered by Stephanie Boudreau, the mother of his son, and Annette Godoy, the mother of his daughter, two important women who have been part of his journey since the beginning. Through the years, they each shared in his life's journey and served as sources of support, strength, and family. Their shared connection through their children will forever remain a meaningful part of his legacy, and the love and memories they hold will continue to live on.
His sisters, Theresa Williams and Anna Williams; his half-sister, Lysondra Mulvihill; his nieces, Kaleena Allen and Melanie Williams; his nephews, Devin Johnson and Darrius Johnson; along with great-nieces and great-nephews. He also leaves behind additional half-sisters and half-brothers, along with a host of extended family members and dear friends.
