Eva Reeves

Eva Reeves was born in Baillieston, Clarendon, Jamaica to Allan Powell and Edwena Robertson on June 22, 1931. Eva Reeves held several roles in her working life, from the Bustamante Industrial Trade Union, Nurses Aid at St. Lukes’ Hospital in NY, and as a childcare assistant in Florida. She married Teaford Reeves on April 30, 1977 at First Presbyterian Church in New York.

Eva Reeves is preceded in death by Joyce Grant, Millicent Cunningham, Loretta Watson and brothers Vassel Powell, Joslyn Richards and Cecil Richards.

Eva Reeves is survived by brothers: Hervin Powell and Roy Richards; sisters: Myrtle Murray, Ruby Richards, Loretta Brown, Beryl Sharpe. Stepson, Levi Reeves; Forty-two (42) nephews and nieces; other relatives and friends; in addition to her beloved ChristWay family.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held Friday, April 11, 2025. Viewing 10:00 AM, service at 11:00AM at ChristWay Baptist Church, 3800 S Douglas Rd, Miramar, FL 33025, United States. Arrangements are provided by Fred Hunter Funeral Home.

The family of Eva Reeves wishes to extend our sincere thanks to North Lake Retirement home, Catholic Hospice, ChristWay Baptist Church, sisters in Christ; Millicent Hitchman and daughter Kaye Brown, Ethlyn Satchell and Cecele Hall for their invaluable support.
