She was born in Warren, Ohio on February 11, 1935, daughter of William Ellsworth Sells and Katheryn (Hall) Sells. Raised and educated in Cortland, Ohio, Evelyn moved to Virginia Gardens, a village of Miami, Florida in 1954. A resident of Cooper City for many years, Evalyn worked as an administrative assistant for the Broward County School Board before her retirement in 2000. She was a longtime member of the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Davie.
Survived by her loving children, Lisa Shrewsbury (Joe) Kessling, Janis Wahl, Philip (Tracey) Shrewsbury and Gregg (Anita) Sells. She was the loving "grand mommy" to eight grandchildren, Jarad, Travis, Shane, Zachary, Ashley, Kellie, Amy and Jaime. Also survived by two brothers, Theodore (Fran) Sells and David Sells. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, Russell G. Shrewsbury in 2012.
A graveside service will be conducted by Rev. Darrell Stuehrenberg on Saturday, January 2nd at 10:00 A.M. at Hollywood Memorial Gardens Cemetery North, 3001 North 72nd Avenue Hollywood. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
