Felicia Romero

Felicia was born in Dominican Republic to Ramon Martinez and Matilde Vargas on February 21, 1931.  She was the widow of Francisco Romero. She was known as the Matriarch of the family. She was the leader for everyone of her siblings, her children, and her grandchildren. She loved her family with all of her heart and soul.  She was a tireless worker. Her favorite pastime was having family gatherings where she was the chef. This was what  she loved to do the most, cook for everyone. She was a Christian woman that always lived her life with faith and kindness.  

Felicia is preceded in death by her husband Francisco Romero and her son Francisco A. Romero. 

Felicia is survived by her eight children, Mercedes Almonte, Luis Romero, Maria Teresa Hilario, Socorro Garcia, Carmen Violeta Guzman, Cesar Rene Romero, Raul Romero and Ronald Romero. Her 31 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.

Viewing will be 4pm-8pm Monday December 27, 2021 at Fred Hunter’s Funeral Home 6301 Taft St. Hollywood, FL 33024

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Tuesday December 28, 2021 at 8330 Johnson St. Pembroke Pines, FL 33024 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Burial will follow at Fred Hunter’s Cemetery. Arrangements are by Fred Hunter’s Funeral Home.

The family of Felicia Romero wishes to extend our sincere thanks to her doctors and nurses for taking great care of her during her illness and to all that were a part of her life always being there manifesting their love for her.

Felicia Romero, 90 años, de Sunrise, FL., Falleció el domingo 19 de diciembre de 2021 en Pembroke Park.

Felicia nació en República Dominicana de Ramón Martínez y Matilde Vargas el 21 de febrero de 1931. Era viuda de Francisco Romero. Se le conocía como la Matriarca de la familia. Ella era la líder de todos sus hermanos, sus hijos y sus nietos. Amaba a su familia con todo su corazón y alma. Trabajadora incansable. Su pasatiempo favorito eran las reuniones familiares donde ella era la chef. Eso era lo que siempre le gustaba hacer “Cocinar”. Fue una mujer cristiana que practico siempre su Fe y la Caridad. 

Felicia es precedida en la muerte por su esposo Francisco Romero y su hijo Francisco A. Romero.

Felicia le sobreviven sus ocho hijos, Mercedes Almonte, Luis Romero, María Teresa Hilario, Socorro García, Carmen Violeta Guzmán, Cesar Rene Romero, Raúl Romero y Ronald Romero. Sus 31 nietos y 32 bisnietos.

Los servicios funerarios se llevarán a cabo 11:00 am martes 28 de diciembre de 2021 en 8330 Johnson St. Pembroke Pines, FL 33024 de St. Boniface Catholic Church, seguido por el entiero nombre del cementerio. Los servicios funerales están a cargo de Fred Hunter's Funeral Home.
