

Pastor Felix Menard, born on March 25th, 1939, in Dondon, Haiti, was a devoted husband, father, and pastor. As a devoted husband and father, her stood by his family’s side, celebrating their success, and offering solace in times of need. He always fostered an environment around the home of love and respect and that is how he lived his life towards his Heavenly Father, with love and respect. He pursued his passion of becoming a pastor at the Theological Baptist Seminary of Limbé after completing his education at Lycée Philippe Gurrier and Lycée Toussaint. In 1965, he married Laurette Pluvios, and together they raised four wonderful children: Frero, Marjorie, Dina, and Gary. Their true devotion to each other and their family was a continuous dedication to growing together, learning from one another, and creating a lasting bond that would not only strengthen their bond over time but also the bonds of their children. Pastor Menard's love for his family was evident in his move to Rockland County, NY, in 1977, seeking a better life for his family. Pastor Menard’s pursuit of a better life in the United States is a testament to his enduring spirit and the hope for opportunity and growth. Leaving behind familiar surroundings of his beloved Haiti and embarking on a journey into the unknown required a tremendous amount of sacrifice, courage, resilience, and determination to build a brighter future, not only for himself but for his wife and young children. In the wake of Pastor Menard’s death, he is also survived by his siblings as follows: Esther Menard-Ancy, Thervicus Menard, Ernst Menard, and Kathleen Menard. He is preceded by his parents, two sons, Frero & Gary and sisters Leah, Sylvie, Gertha, and Enide, his memory will continue to inspire and bring comfort to those who were fortunate to have known him.
