Floyd was born on October 18, 1950, during Hurricane King - earning him the nickname ‘Windy.’ He lived his entire life in Broward County and
attended South Broward High School. He retired in 2013 from the Town of Davie Public Works Department where he worked as a supervisor.
Floyd courageously served three years in the Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. Floyd is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 48 years, Cherie. He was a loving father to Erin and Floyd and a doting Papa to Madison and Charley.
The family wishes to extend our sincerest gratitude to the doctors, nurses, medical staff, and transporters who assisted in Floyd’s care over the years.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Bruce W. Carter Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Miami.
