Forrest D. Fritz

July 8, 1942 – November 24, 2020

Forrest Dale Fritz of Miramar, Florida passed away November 24, 2020.

He was the husband of Elaine Sell Fritz with whom he was married for 51 years.  Born July 8, 1942, he was the son of the late Richard and Helen (Dries) Fritz.  Forrest is survived by his wife, Elaine; daughters, Christine Johnson and husband Tom and Debra Austin and husband John, adopted son, Robbie Hopper, 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren and one great great grandson; brothers, Sterling, James and wife Charlotte, sisters Faye Hein, Marianne Benner, Nancy Zerfass and husband Frank.

Forrest served in the Air Force as an air traffic controller. In his civilian career, he retired from FPL and the Museum of Discovery and Science.

He was very active in his community and church; helping with the food pantry and feeding the homeless, ushering and serving on the church council and working the pumpkin patch every year.

He had a love for camping and travelling in a motor home, seeing our beautiful country. He was a member of Good Sam Seahorses enjoying monthly campouts. 

October was his favorite month. He loved decorating for Halloween, seeing all the children dressed up coming for candy, working the church pumpkin patch and celebrating with the Good Sam Seahorses October Halloween Campout. 

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 19th at 11:30 AM at

St. Johns Lutheran Church
