

He was born in Naples, Italy on February 20, 1935, son of Giuseppe and Domenica (DeSimone) D'Avanzo. As a teenager, he and his family came to the United States, first settling in Louisiana and then moved to Queens, New York.
In 1971 Frank and his family moved to Hollywood, Florida where he worked as an accountant for both Hillcrest and Bonaventure Country Clubs. In 1980, Frank opened his own business called Anthony's On The Water in Fort Lauderdale. He retired in 1998.
Survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Antonietta (Guerriero) D'Avanzo, five devoted sons, Joseph, Dominick and his wife Lynne, Robert, Frank, Michael and his wife Andi. He was affectionately known as Papa Tony to his six loving grandchildren, Michael J; Christopher, Michael, Aidan, Hannah and Dylan. Also survived by his sister, Nicoletta Sorice and her husband Bob Beck.
Visitation on Thursday, February 13th from 5:00 ~ 8:00 P.M. at Fred Hunter's Hollywood Memorial Home, 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 14th at Twelve Noon at Nativity Catholic Church with Entombment to follow at Hollywood Memorial Gardens Cemetery and Mausoleum Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
