

Gabriel Perez, 81, originally of San Francisco de Macorís, Dominican Republic, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2026, in Hollywood, Florida.
Gabriel was born on June 10, 1945, to Lila Tolentino Perez and Carlos Perez in San Francisco de Macorís, Dominican Republic. He attended school there before beginning a career as an industrial mechanic. In 1982, he married the love of his life, Agustina Perez Ramírez, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
Gabriel dedicated more than twenty years of service as an industrial mechanic for Talleres Nadal. He was a devoted believer in Christ and a faithful member of the Catholic Church. He had a lifelong love for baseball and found great joy in spending time with his family.
Above all else, Gabriel was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. His love extended far beyond his immediate family, and he became a father and grandfather figure to many of his nieces and nephews. He will be remembered for his kindness, quiet strength, generosity, unwavering faith, and the deep love he showed to everyone blessed to know him.
Gabriel was preceded in death by his parents, Lila Tolentino Perez and Carlos Perez, and his sister, Florinda Perez.
He is lovingly survived by his beloved wife, Agustina Perez Ramírez; his children, Kenia Perez, Carlos Perez, Yohany Perez, and Yocasta Perez; and the children he lovingly raised as his own, Santa Reyes and Jeremy Ramírez.
He is also survived by his brothers and sisters: Cesar Perez, Antonia Perez, Blasina Perez, Carmen Perez, Bernarda Perez, Teofilo Perez, Rafael Perez, Genie Perez, Librada Perez, Mario Perez, Andres Perez, Luciano Perez Garcia, Aurora Perez, and Martin Perez.
His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren: Newton Ignacio Vargas, Gustavo Diaz, Ismael Yohanny Perez, Inijah Nyseth Perez, Yeury Perez, Camry Perez, Aston Drew Encarnacion, Ethan Yohanny Perez, Abigail River Encarnacion, Carly Perez, Eli Alexander Perez, Mason Johanes Perez, Grayson Jones Ramirez, and Aaron Gabriel Perez, along with many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
A visitation will be held on Monday, July 13, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Fred Hunter’s Funeral Home, 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood, Florida.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Stephen Catholic Church, 6044 SW 19th Street, Miramar, Florida.
Burial will immediately follow at 11:30 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, 1500 South State Road 7, North Lauderdale, Florida.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to all of the doctors, nurses, caregivers, family members, and friends whose love, compassion, and support brought comfort to Gabriel and his family throughout his journey.
Gabriel’s life was a blessing, his memory a treasure, and his love will live forever in our hearts.
