He was born in Peoria, Illinois on March 14, 1949, son of Datyon and Betty (Williams) Herman. Raised and educated in Peoria, Gary graduated from the University of Illinois. Following his retirement in 1995, Gary moved to Hollywood, Florida. He enjoyed riding his bicycle everywhere he went and collecting model cars and baseball cards.
Survived by his brother, Wallace Williams and his wife Lan Le, his aunt, Dorothea Schoch.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 9th at 3:00 P.M. at Fred Hunters Hollywood Memorial Home, 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood. Inurnment will be at Hollywood Memorial Garden Cemetery.
