Geneva Barfield, 89, of Hollywood, Florida, passed away June 26, 2024. Geneva was born on August 12, 1934, in Illinois, and has been a resident of South Florida for over 80 years. Geneva worked in the banking industry for 40 years in various positions. Geneva cherished spending time with her family and friends, was a diehard Atlanta Braves fan, an avid bowler, and enjoyed her yearly trips to the mountains to see the leaves change.
Geneva was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be forever remembered by her children and their spouses; Donna (Russ) McCumber and Brad (Patty) Barfield, her grandchildren; Jill (Josh), Jeff (Sarah), Bradley, Chad (Britanie) and Kyle (Bridget); and her great grandchildren Jaelin, Sage, Clay and Chad. Geneva is also survived by her brothers-in-law; Don (Barbara) and Loyd (Donna) and numerous nieces and nephews. Geneva was preceded in death by her husband Alvin, parents; Beulah and Charles Parrent, brother James Parrent and grandson Jimmy McCumber.
