The funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on October 26th, 2022 at Fred Hunter’s Hollywood Memorial Gardens East. Rabbi Frank of All Peoples Synagogue will be officiating. Burial will follow the funeral at Fred Hunter’s Hollywood Memorial Gardens East at 1:00pm. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Fred Hunter’s Hollywood.
George was born in Gainesville, FL on February 15,1938. He graduated from Gainesville High School and continued on to receive an Engineering degree from University of Florida.
George worked as a civil engineer for Broward County for almost 40 years. He enjoyed playing tennis, vacations and cruises, walks along the beach, and eating out. He was also actively involved in NSU’s Life Long Learning program and multiple charities.
George is survived by his sister, nephew, extended family and friends.
George is preceded in death by his life long companion Ruth Lazarus and his parents George and Margaret Edwards.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to The United Jewish Appeal of Broward County in memory of Ruth Lazarus.
