George Daniel Rosenthal

August 6, 1933 – January 11, 2025

George Daniel Rosenthal, 91, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2025, in Weston, Florida surrounded by loved ones.

Born on August 6, 1933, in Philadelphia to Benjamin and Tillie Rosenthal, George attended Overbrook High School. He lived a full and vibrant life, enriched by his devotion to family and the meaningful relationships he cultivated over the years.

George was blessed to share his life with two remarkable women. In September 1957, he married his first wife, Carol Rosenthal, with whom he raised two sons, Mark and Todd. After Carol's passing, George found love again with Della Segars Rosenthal, whom he cherished deeply until her passing in 2019.

Throughout his career, George worked in various fields, including as a cosmetics salesman, sneaker distributor, and Walmart associate. A proud veteran, he served in the United States Army during the Korean War from 1953 to 1955.

George’s legacy is carried on by his loving family. He is survived by his sons, Mark (wife Noreen, her children Albert and Dawn, and grandchildren Tommy and Johnny) and Todd (wife Cindy). He also leaves behind three grandchildren: Adam (wife Jocelyn), Taylor (fiancée Crystal, great-grandson Jaxson), and Emily (husband Courtney).

In addition to his immediate family, George embraced and treasured the family he gained through his marriage to Della. He is survived by Della’s children: Jimmy, Deedee and Alan, Debbie and Chester, Joe, Jeff, Dilly and Dan, Jon and Donna, and Deanna and Billy; her grandchildren: April, Nicky and Steve, Josh and Nicole, Jessica, Kayla and Neil, Jamie, Jimmy, Nellie, Davi, Michael, Sara and Tyson, Sonia, Jeffrey and Bethany, Kevin, Sean, Paula, Billy, Deanna, Sam, Ashley, Summer, Madison, William, and Tommie; and her great-grandchildren: Riley, Parker, Kassidy, Kayden, Kenzie, Maleeah, Daxton, Mia, MJ, Peyton, Brooke, Tyler, Jax, Emery, Aden, Cayman, Princy, Averie, RJ, Alyssa, Taylor, Jacob, Arionna, Rowan, Noah, Angel, Ryder, Rae, Marie, and Adilynn.

The family extends its heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at the Cleveland Clinic in Weston and the caring employees at Pacifica Senior Living, where George resided.

A Celebration of Life and Memorial Service will be held on January 13, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Fred Hunter’s Funeral Home.
