With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of George “Padre” Yabor, who died on December 2nd, 2025 at the age of 82. A beloved father and husband will be remembered for his smile, humor, and positive spirit he shared with those he loved.
He is survived by his children: Kristina, Jessica, and Brianna Yabor in addition to Gerald, Kevin, Sean, and Seamus McIntyre; siblings, Raymond and Ramiro Yabor; and grandchildren, Kevin Junior, Seamus Junior, Emily, Molly, Kathleen, and Liam McIntyre; and close friends, Allen Stroman, Denise Daley, Delores Day, and Kym May to name a few.
George dedicated many years of his life to his work as a line handler, and truck driver, both roles that required skill, responsibility, and long work hours on and off the road. He took great pride in his work, earning the respect of coworkers and supervisors alike for his reliability, strong work ethic, and willingness to help others whenever needed. Known for his steady presence and commitment, George understood the value of honest work and the importance of providing for his family.
After the passing of his beloved wife Kathleen, George continued to honor their life together through unwavering love and devotion. Though carrying profound loss, he remained a steady and caring presence for his daughter, offering strength, comfort, and guidance during a difficult chapter. His loyalty and enduring commitment reflected the depth of his love and the bond they shared. In the years that followed, he carried her memory with grace, ensuring that her love and values lived through his actions and the family that he cherished.
Beyond his professional life, George’s greatest achievement was being a devoted and loving father. He led by example, teaching the values of hard work, integrity, and kindness. Whether through quiet guidance, unwavering support, or simply being there when it mattered the most, he left a lasting impact on his children’s lives specifically Pinky’s. His dedication to both his career and his family stands as a testament to the man he was and the legacy he leaves behind.
George found joy in the simple, everyday moments that often go unnoticed. He appreciated quiet mornings, familiar routines (Garlic Butter Ritz Crackers with his instant coffee), and the comfort of time spent with family. Whether enjoying a peaceful drive (as a passenger princess once Brianna turned 15), listening to his oldies stations, sharing a meal, or sitting and talking with loved ones, he understood that life’s greatest pleasures were often the smallest ones. He valued laughter, conversation, the ID channel, and togetherness, and those moments brought him the most happiness. His ability to find the meaning on ordinary days is a reminder to cherish the little things and the time we share with one another.
Though George “Padre” Yabor is no longer with us, his love and memory will live on in the hearts of family and friends forever.
The outpouring of love, support, and generosity shown by family, friends, and the community has been deeply appreciated and will NEVER be forgotten.
