Giovanna Malacria

Giovanna was born in Sicily to Anthony and Angela Lucenti on August 21, 1933.  The eldest of 3 children. She married Luciano Malacria, (deceased) on July 4th, 1963, in Ragusa, Sicily. Leaving Sicily to begin a new life in the United Sates.  She was a devout catholic and a member of the woman’s guild at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, where she spent many years dedicated to the church, its members, and in service of the lord and became a eucharistic minister. She found comfort and solace in her strong faith in God.

Giovanna passed away in her home peacefully and her family will cherish the memories of times we spent together. She was a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend and we will miss her terribly.

Giovanna is preceded in death by her spouse Luciano Malacria, mother, Angela Lucenti, father, Anthony Lucenti, sister Maria Gulino, brother Giorgio DiStefano.  

Giovanna is survived by her daughters Carol Dinnen, Linda Malacria, and Loretta Goodman. Her grandchildren Alan Dinnen, Steven Dinnen, Stephanie Dinnen, Gregory Dinnen, Sara Carrillo, Jamie Goodman, Zachary Goodman. Her great grandchildren Aubrey Love, Juliette Hope, Delilah Sofia, and Joshua Alan.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at 10 am on Friday, June 14th, 2024. Arrangements by Fred Hunters Funeral home.
