She was born August 1, 1928 in Essex Hall, St Andrew, Jamaica, West Indies. She was the daughter of Berthan Dunbar and Laura Dunbar (nee Simons).
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by brothers Derrick, Kingsley (Bonny) and stepmom Ruth.
Surviving are brothers; Windsor, Milton (Bibi); sister, Ingrid (Grace); nieces, Carlene, Michelle, Francine, Tanique, Torrace, Kine and Karli; cousins, great-nieces and nephews.
