Heameash Tilack

Heameash Tilack, affectionately known to family and friends as Joe, Joey, and Satish, passed away on September 18, 2026, in North Lauderdale, Florida, at the age of 55. He was deeply loved by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched. He will be remembered for his positive spirit, sense of humor, and the steady comfort he gave to those around him.

Heameash was born on September 12, 1971, in Berbice, Guyana, the beloved son of Pooran and Parbaty Tilak and one of eight children. He immigrated to the United States in the early 1990s, where he built a life centered on family, love, and togetherness. For 30 years, he shared that life with his devoted wife, Chandrawatti.

Though Heameash had no children of his own, he was a father figure to many of his nieces and nephews. To them, he was far more than an uncle—he was a protector, a trusted guide, a reassuring voice on the phone, and someone they could always depend on.

Easygoing by nature, Heameash had a gift for reminding others not to worry about the little things. He made people feel supported and cared for simply by being present and shared a special bond with those closest to him.

Heameash is survived by his wife, Chandrawatti; his parents, Pooran and Parbaty; his siblings, Pearly, Annie, Dilip, Annet, Ravin, and Pamela; and his many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. He was predeceased by his brother, Prakash.

His family takes comfort in the many memories he leaves behind and in knowing that his love, laughter, guidance, and kindness will live on through all those whose lives he touched.

In keeping with the Hindu faith, we pray that his Atma finds eternal peace and that Bhagwan grants strength and comfort to all who mourn his passing.
