

Born in Columbus, Mississippi on November 2, 1932, son of James A. and Wilma Lee (Andrews) Shaw. Raised and educated in Columbus, Hank graduated from Lee High School. At the age of 20, Hank was drafted into the United States Army, serving during the Korean War as a Corporal. Recipient of the National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.
Before his retirement, Hank had a long career as a Lineman with IBEW, local 728 & 759 (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers)and Florida Power & Light. He was recently given his 62 year pin from the union. A longtime member of the Davie Baptist Church and Gardens Baptist Church and a member of the Masons and Scottish rite.
Survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Betty Jo (Hente) Shaw, two loving sons, Danny (Donna) Shaw and James (Lynn) Shaw, three grandchildren, Chris Shaw, Nicole Shaw-Hoffman, Gunner Shaw two great grandchildren, Payton and Christian Shaw, sisters, June Collier, Linda Shaw (Larry) Urhahn and sister in law, Debbie Uthoff. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Family & Church members: Chris Shaw, Gunner Shaw, Leslie Collier, Jim Nelson, Dave Kennedy, Rick Scarbary
Visitation on Monday, March 21st from 6:00 ~ 8:00 P.M. at Fred Hunters Hollywood Memorial Home, 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood. Funeral on Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Pastor Larry Wilson officiating. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
Burial will follow at Hollywood Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Military Honors by the United States Army Honor Guard.
