

A funeral service will be held at Fred Hunter’s Funeral Home in Hollywood on Monday, July 14, 2025. Visitation will take place from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Burial will follow at Fred Hunter’s Hollywood Memorial Gardens North from 12:15 PM to 12:45 PM. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Fred Hunter’s of Hollywood.
Howard was born on November 23, 1942, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He served honorably in the United States Army, working in military intelligence. He also attended college courses in photography.
He was married to Linda Dorfman and they shared 25 wonderful years together.
An entrepreneur for over five decades, Howard owned and operated Dorfman Gallery and Nina’s Art Supply and Picture Framing, where he nurtured his passion for art and community. He found joy in boating, spending time with his family, and making countless cherished memories at Disney World.
Howard is survived by his beloved wife, Linda, his cherished children Tammy, Michele, and Debbye; his cherished grandchildren Ariel, Aaron, Aaliyah, Jack, and Luke; his sister Marilyn, and her children Diana, Newton, and Ilene.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Phillip and Elizabeth Dorfman, and his sister Norma Lang.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society or MD Anderson Cancer Center, in honor of Howard’s memory.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those whose lives he touched.
