My condolences to the Nicholson family.  Ian was loved and respected by so many and one of the most cheerful individuals I have come to know.  If I may pass one thing on it is this: Although he may no longer be with us, keep the memories of ole in your hearts and minds, cherish them forever, for those can never be taken from us. Ian was a great friend and colleague, we cared about each other and each others families. Ian was a true inspiration,  fighter and warrior with unrelenting  optimism . We will miss  you Ian but know your spirit lives on .

Ian was a great example of a man and professional. Honest, hardworking, detailed, focused and kind, but above all Ian was for me and many of his friends a WARRIOR and a FIGHTER. Always facing up the difficult tasks, projects and situations in a calm and gentleman like manner; always using his powerful brain and a serene state of mind to solve problems and never, never, NEVER GIVING UP!

I am so grateful to have known Ian. I worked with him at AeroTurbine and also in his technical role at Carlyle Aviation.  Ian was a kind sole who was very dedicated to everything he did in life. It's hard to believe his time was so short but he touch many lives in different ways. To his family my deepest condolences, I know its never easy to lose a loved one but payers, memories and family support can guide you through this difficult time.
