Irene Elizabeth Murphy Rohan, 89, of Hollywood, Florida passed away peacefully on June 9, 2013 at Aventura Hospital and Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Raymond Rohan, and survived by her daughter, Irene M. Rohan, son, Joseph P. Rohan (Heather), grandsons, Joseph J. Rohan and Patrick R. Rohan, sister, Katherine M. Kavanaugh and 48 nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a brother, John A. Murphy, and parents, John A. and Lourena (Mauer) Murphy. Originally from Newport, Kentucky defining her Midwest values and compassionate nature. She was truly loved by all who met her, always giving, always caring.
Visitation will be from 4:30 - 8:30 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at Fred Hunter's Hollywood Memorial Gardens Home, 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood. The Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 13, 2013, at Nativity Catholic Church; 5220 Johnson Street, Hollywood. Interment will follow at Southern Memorial Park.
