

The funeral services will take place at the Fred Hunter Funeral Home on March 6, 2021 as follows:
Visitation: 10am – 12pm
Memorial Service: 12pm – 1pm
Minister Luther Barber (West Palm Beach) will be officiating
James was born in Louisville, Alabama on April 27, 1942. He graduated from the Barbour County Training School and continued on to earn the certificates to become a small engine mechanic.
James married Linda Smith-Collins on December 24, 1998 and was happily married for 22 years.
James repaired small engines for various companies for several years. He loved to “manicure” his lawn, watch football & baseball as well as fish.
James is survived by his spouse Linda Smith-Collins, two sons, James & Whitey Collins, 3 grandchildren (Whitney, Rabecka, & Camron). He also left behind his siblings, Bertha Osborne, Dorothy Manley, Cris Collins, Nathaniel Collins, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends.
James Collins is preceded in death by Millie Howard (mother), Charlie James Collins (father), & Tom McKenzie (brother).
