

Jim was born in Warrenville, S.C. and married his wife of 71 years Geneva (Jenny) in Feb. 1943.On his birthday that year he left to fight in WWII which started a 28 year career in the U.S Navy and included campaigns in Korea and Vietnam ending in as a charter member of the USS Enterprise and a Senior Master Chief (E9 ETC) .Jim took his military training and education and passed the Va. State Electrical Engineer exam and finished a career with the Civil Service as a GS13 becoming a world authority on radar systems and executing fleet wide changes and updates for the US Navy. He managed the Charleston AFB computer center and untangled traffic congestion as a traffic engineer for the City of Charleston, S.C. Jim loved Golf and became a S.C state champion, a 4 time hole in one achiever who went on to shoot his age many times at his home course of The CC of Miami. Jim and Jenny were members of the New Horizon Methodist Church Cooper City, Fl. and devoted their lives to their Faith.
Jim is survived by his wife Jenny John, his two sons Jimmy and Charlie, grandchildren Harley, Kenny, Karen, CJ and Celeste and 10 great grand and step great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Fred Hunters 2401 South University Dr. Davie Fl. on Sunday 3/09 between 1 to 4 pm. Funeral Service Monday 3/10 at 10:00 A.M. at New Horizon Methodist Church, 5741 S. Flamingo Rd. Southwest Ranches, FL. (Cooper City)
