James (Jimmy) Norman Sisley, age 78, of Pembroke Pines, Florida, passed away Friday evening, February 20, 2026 at his residence. He was born on January 8, 1948 in Pittsburgh, a son of Stewart and Ruby Nunery Sisley.
After completing high school, Jimmy enlisted in the Air Force and served in the Vietnam War. It was while he was stationed at Maguire Air Force Base in New Jersey that he met his future wife, Kathy.
His wife of 55 years, Kathryn (Kathy Johnson) survives him. Jimmy also leaves two daughters who were his pride and joy, Lisa (Zeien) and Jamie and three cherished grandchildren, Timothy (TJ), Trevor, and Jayla.
Jimmy was always a fun-loving person with a unique sense of humor. He is remembered for his loyalty to family and friends, and for his gifted intellect. Many can remember his many acts of generosity. He always said, “a closed hand can’t receive anything” and felt that giving to others always resulted in a return of more.
