Jim served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War, and then joined New York Bell. He transferred to Southern Bell and moved to south Florida in 1978. Jim retired after over 35 years with the Bell companies.
Survivors include his wife, Nadine; sons, William Strait (Nancy), Erich Swanson (Brenda) and James Strait (Jennifer); grandson, Benjamyn Swanson; sisters, Barbara Fogarty (Jim) and Carol Strait; brother, Chris Strait; nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. Jim was preceded in death by his parents.
Jim was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all. He will be greatly missed.
